FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 1. What is IKON CUSTOMS? A newly launched electric guitar company, based out of Houston, Texas. IKON represents freedom from corporate cookie-cutter instruments and over-priced "custom" instruments that look exactly like said cookie-cutter instruments. Anyone can make a playable instrument, but IKON makes instruments that are playable and are asthetically-challenging. At this day and age, what is the point of starting a guitar company if you're just gonna be like the rest? That's why IKON doesn't make guitars, IKON invents them. All IKON CUSTOMS are handmade, one by one, here in our shop in Houston, TX. All other parts are made by independent shops in the USA. 2. What are the bodies made of? These are composite bodies, featuring our own special blend resin, carbon fibre, kevlar and fiberglass laminates, wrapped around a Poplar hardwood core. It is hollow and completely shielded on the inside, for complete protection from interference. We call this process the "X.O. Skeleton".The rock-hard construction make it completely resonant and sustain beautifully. 2. What is an X.O. Skeleton? What is an Endoskeleton? X.O. Skeleton stands for "Xymbioplasmic Organism" which is what we call our special resin recipe. It is also what the design is, which is a rigid shell wrapped around the 'Endoskeleton". The Endoskeleton is where the bridge, the pickups and the neck attach to. 3. Why are the fretboard designs printed on? Its not something guitar manufacturers normally do. We don't stand out from the crowd, we stay the hell away from it. 3. What are your warranty policies? One year, free parts and labor (for complete guitar purchases) . For every item that we sell separately, most likely within the one year after date of purchase, we will replace the product free of charge, sans shipping. Of course this is considering natural wear and tear. You can't smash or scratch a body intentionally and demand a free replacement. Satisfation is guaranteed, or your money back.
